This is close to the perfect all rounder freeride board. Mid flex but with lots of support. Not too directional, not too rockered. Wide version is a rare find also. I think it’s called the Snowboard Of Death though, because you will almost die if you try and nollie it. The low and FLAT(!) nose creates some spectacular results, for some amazing forward momentum flight onto your head. Hopefully a future version removes this shape that really is just for looks as far as I can figure.. Nollies are dope and it’s such a shame, but I’m on my third one of these, regardless. It’s just still worth it.I had a basic board for a very long time and the day I got this I put on some bindings and after riding some was immideatly confident to try back flipping and harder tricks. I had a basic board for a very long time and the day I got this I put on some bindings and after riding some was immideatly confident to try back flipping and harder tricks. I do wish that with the tag in the board someone could hover there phone over it and it would say who’s board it is and my number and everything. After riding the DOA for a few years, I wanted to add a hard charging beast to my quiver. After riding the DOA for a few years, I wanted to add a hard charging beast to my quiver. The BSOD fit that category perfectly! As an east coast boarder, the BSOD rips on hard pack and absolutely blasts through any chunder. It also exceeded my expectation on my trip out to A-Basin this year! Turns super smoothly and quickly. Stays super stable when I'm pushing the limits on speed. It's and unstoppable force that I'd recommend to any more advanced riders! So I finally made it out west again after all these years and had the good fortune to try the BSOD 2021 on some powder. So I finally made it out west again after all these years and had the good fortune to try the BSOD 2021 on some powder. Unbelievable. I was skeptical. I mean, I freaking love this board but had no idea it was going to perform so well in powder. It was a fairly mellow back bowl with about 2 feet of fresh powder on a foot of tracked powder. Other boarders and skiers were really having to push to make it through flat glade sections and I was just chilling, floating my way through life. Later in the day it got pretty busy and there were all kinds of conditions. Lots of powder left that most people couldn’t get to because they couldn’t get enough speed. I flat-based the BSOD on absolute garbage snow so I could hit the powder stashes at high speed. No chatter. No leg pain. No worries at all that I’d have to stop and walk my way out. The BSOD is a missile. A cushioned missile who’s sole purpose is to take care of its rider and make sure they have epic days.I’ve rode so many boards. I’ve rode so many boards. I’m the type that’ll buy ten boards in one season and use each one a few times and pick the best two I liked for that season! This is the best hard charging freeride board on the market hands down! Super durable. And if you want a more mellow popier version the megadeath is insane. Those are the two boards I chose this year after typing a couples from the a few brands!
